Sending a booking request on Hemavi is the easiest, fastest and safest way to secure your room. Landlords are required to reply to all booking requests within 48 hours. Booking requests that are not replied to within 48 hours will automatically expire.
A one-time service fee is charged to you as a tenant which is 30% of one month's rent. This is added to the first month's rent that you pay when making a booking.
Once you register a valid payment method, we’ll check whether you have sufficient funds to cover the booking fee. However, the amount will not be deducted at this stage. It’s only when the booking is confirmed by the landlord (and your room is secured), that the funds will be safely transferred to Hemavi.
You can always cancel a booking request as long as it has not yet been accepted by the landlord. There are no cancellation fees for you since no charges have been made to your card.
Once the payment for the booking has been processed, Hemavi will hold the amount for the first month’s rent until 48 hours after you have moved in or that you have confirmed to us that the room is as advertised.
If the landlord has misrepresented the room details, we will find you a new place as soon as possible, or issue you a full refund of the booking, including the Hemavi service fee.
